The Steam Winter Sale 2022 is now live, featuring new and recurring discounts on PC games. This year’s edition of the annual Steam Winter Sale is scheduled to run until 23:30 IST on January 5, 2023. The Steam Winter Sale 2022 offers discounts of up to 80% on select titles. Game of the Year Elden Ring has finally received its first price cut on PC since launch – you get 30% off, with the final price being Rs. 1749 for the Elden Ring standard edition. Meanwhile, you can buy God of War (2018) at a 40% discount for Rs. 1979, while the recent PlayStation PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is available at Rs. 2,999.
Cyberpunk 2077, which has been enjoying a huge resurgence in player counts in recent months, has seen its price drop by half. It is now at Rs. 1,499. You can also go back in time to experience the story of the bad guy Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, which retains the same price drop seen during the Steam Autumn Sale. At Rs. 1,055, it’s the cheapest this acclaimed open-world title has ever been and is a certified must-buy. If old-school horror is your jam, check out the Resident Evil 2 remake at Rs. 499, where you face hordes of infected zombies in claustrophobic arenas.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice keeps its 50% discount as usual and you can pick it up for Rs. 1999. That said, FromSoftware’s acclaimed Dark Souls trilogy is not yet for sale. Its online PvP capabilities were recently restored after a 10-month downtime following the discovery of a critical security vulnerability. Understandably, games returning to their original state had fans assuming they would finally go on sale, but it seems publisher Bandai Namco has different plans. It’s been exactly one year since all three Dark Souls games received a discount on PC.
Superhero fans can embark on a wild ride through the cosmos with Marvel’s award-winning Guardians of the Galaxy, where you command a team of misfits on an unpredictable adventure. Developed by Eidos-Montréal, Guardians of the Galaxy is available for Rs. 1,049 (that’s 65% off). On the DC Comics side, you should undoubtedly pick up the Batman: Arkham Collection, which includes the entire Rocksteady Studios trilogy, plus a Season Pass for Batman: Arkham Knight. The package costs just Rs. 202, and offers some of the best stories from the Dark Knight mythos.
