Steam Spring Sale 2023 is now live, bringing new and recurring discounts on PC games. This year’s edition of the newly introduced Steam Spring Sale is set to run until March 23, 11:30pm IST. The promotion offers discounts of up to 85% on selected titles. The much revered Red Dead Redemption 2 got a 67% discount, bringing the price down to Rs. 1,056. Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077, which has been making a resurgence in the gaming base lately, maintains its base 50% discount and costs Rs. 1,499. PlayStation to PC ports such as God of War (2018) and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection also have reduced prices – Rs. 1,979 and Rs. 2,309, respectively.
Interestingly, the just-released PC version of Returnal, which reportedly didn’t sell enough copies, isn’t going on sale. Unlike most other AAA releases, The Last of Us Part I also did not receive a 10% introductory/pre-order offer. The critically acclaimed NieR: Automata, which shows alien-created machines and human-created androids engaged in a proxy war, has finally gone on sale since March 2022 (one year exactly). It is available at 50% off for Rs. 665.
If you like old school horror, this time there are two great remake options for sale. First, put yourself in the shoes of rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy as he makes his way into the infected Raccoon City, ravaged by carnivorous zombies in Resident Evil 2. They are listed at Rs. 499 and Rs. 2,549, respectively.

Publisher Bandai Namco continues to not offer discounts on the Dark Souls trilogy. Even the 2022 Game of the Year winner at The Game Awards, Elden Ring, wasn’t discounted this time around, which is odd considering the game has already been discounted once. However, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, set in feudal Japan, is going on sale at 50% off – Rs. 1999. The Batman: Arkham Collection offers an inexpensive and excellent way for players to experience Rocksteady Studios’ excellent take on the Dark Knight mythos before opting for a live-service implementation in the upcoming game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. All three games – Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham: City and Arkham: Knight (including Season Pass) are available for just Rs. 202.
On the shooter side, the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has been given a 35% discount, now costing Rs. 3249 for the base edition. Earlier this month, publisher Activision brought three recent Call of Duty games, previously exclusive to Battle.net on PC, to Steam. They are Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Vanguard. All three received a 50% discount, bringing the price down to Rs. 1999 each.
