
The Mi Mix 4 was unveiled at a special event in China on Tuesday as Xiaomi’s first commercial phone to carry an under-display camera. The new Mi Mix phone comes with a new camera technology that hides the front sensor under the screen. Xiaomi calls the camera ‘Camera Under Panel (CUP)’. The smartphone also carries triple rear cameras and features including an in-display fingerprint sensor as well as stereo speakers. In addition to introducing the Mi Mix 4, Xiaomi launched the Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro as its new tablets, as well as the Xiaomi Sound smart speaker and the 77-inch Mi TV Master and Mi TV 6 OLED smart TVs.
Mi Mix 4, Mi Pad 5, Mi Pad 5 Pro price
The Mi Mix 4 price has been set at CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs. 57,400) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the phone also has an 8GB + 256GB model priced at CNY 5,299 (Rs. 60,800) and a 12GB + 256GB option at CNY 5,799 (Rs. 66) .600). There is also a top-of-the-line model with 12GB + 512GB configuration for CNY 6,299 (Rs. 72,300). The Mi Mix 4 comes in Ceramic Black, Ceramic White and the new Ceramic Gray colors and will be available for purchase in China from August 16th. The phone will also be available for pre-orders in the Chinese market later on Tuesday.
The Mi Pad 5 comes with a price tag of CNY 1999 (Rs. 22,900) for the 6GB + 128GB version and CNY 2,299 (Rs. 26,400) for the 6GB + 256GB model. In contrast, the Mi Pad 5 Pro starts at CNY 2,499 (Rs. 28,700) for the 6GB + 128GB option. The Mi Pad 5 Pro also has a 6GB + 256GB model for CNY 2,799 (Rs. 32,100) and the top-end 8GB + 256GB version for CNY 3,499 (Rs. 40,100).
Both the Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro will be available for purchase in China starting August 16th.
Along with the Mi Pad 5 series, Xiaomi has released a double-sided protective cover with a keyboard that costs CNY 399 (Rs. 4,600) and a stylus from CNY 349 (Rs. 4,000). Both accessories are specifically designed for the new tablets.
Xiaomi has also brought out the Xiaomi Sound smart speaker which is priced at CNY 499 (Rs. 5,700). He also brought the 77-inch Mi TV Master for CNY 19,999 (Rs. 2,29,700) and the 55-inch Mi TV 6 OLED for CNY 4,999 (Rs. 57,400) and the 65-inch Mi TV 6 OLED for CNY 6,999 (Rs. 80,400).
The Xiaomi Sound, 77-inch Mi TV Master and Mi TV 6 OLED models are available for pre-order in China, with sales starting August 16.
Xiaomi has not revealed any details about the global availability and pricing of its new devices in markets outside of China.
Mi Mix 4 specs
The Mi Mix 4 runs on Android 11 with MIUI on top and features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) 10-bit TrueColor AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the Mi Mix 4 has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC along with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The phone carries the triple rear camera setup that houses a 108-megapixel primary HMX sensor along with an f/1.95 lens that supports optical image stabilization (OIS). The camera setup also features a 13-megapixel sensor with a periscope-shaped telephoto lens to support 50x zoom, as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter.
For selfies and video chatting, Mi Mix 4 uses a 20 megapixel camera sensor on the front that features CUP technology with 400ppi pixel density. The company claims that it combines the pixel density, brightness and color details of the surrounding screen to completely hide the camera zone.
The Mi Mix 4 comes with up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and a USB Type-C port. The phone also supports ultra-wideband (UWB) to provide accurate spatial positioning capabilities. Furthermore, there is the in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
Xiaomi has provided a 4,500mAh battery in Mi Mix 4 that supports up to 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Furthermore, the phone is 8.02mm thick and 225 grams in weight.
Mi Pad 5 specs
The Mi Pad 5 runs on Android 11 with MIUI for Pad and features an 11-inch 2.5K TrueTone display with 120Hz refresh rate, as well as Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC along with 6GB of RAM as standard. The tablet comes with four speakers and supports Dolby Atmos.

Mi Pad 5 Pro specs
Like the Mi Pad 5, the Mi Pad 5 Pro runs on Android 11 with MIUI for Pad and features an 11-inch 2.5K TrueTone display with 120Hz refresh rate, as well as Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. It is, however, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC along with up to 8GB of RAM. The tablet also has a 50-megapixel primary rear camera in the 5G version, although the Wi-Fi-only variant has a 13-megapixel primary camera. The 5G and Wi-Fi versions come with a 5-megapixel depth sensor on the back and an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor on the front.
The Mi Pad 5 Pro has up to 256GB of internal storage. You also get eight speakers on the tablet along with Dolby Atmos support. Furthermore, it comes with an 8,600mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 67W.
Xiaomi sound specs
Xiaomi Sound is designed with Harman AudioEFX sound and aims to provide 360-degree omnidirectional audio. The speaker comes with UWB support and has Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity.
Specifications of the 77-inch Mi TV Master
The 77-inch Mi TV Master comes with a 120Hz 10-bit OLED V21 display with a contrast ratio of 1500000:1 and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. The TV comes with 70W speakers tuned by Harman Kardon. Connectivity options include UWB, NFC and Wi-Fi 6. The TV also features HDMI 2.1 + VRR to deliver high quality power from a compatible device. In addition, the 77-inch Mi TV Master model has dedicated support for Xbox gamers.
Mi TV 6 OLED specs
The Mi TV 6 OLED, on the other hand, comes in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes and has an OLED screen with a contrast ratio of 1000000:1 and 800 nits of peak brightness. The TV also supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced technologies.
