Callisto Protocol will launch next Friday, December 2nd, and before that, its Steam page has listed the PC system requirements for the same. While certainly not as demanding as the recent Gotham Knights, the required specs lean toward a midrange rig, calling for an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 to run the game at its lowest settings. There is also a slight inconsistency with the listing, as the requirements seem awfully close in places. Going from minimum to recommended specs is only a small leap for a GTX 1070 card of the same generation, despite requiring an additional 8GB of RAM for optimal performance. Callisto Protocol launches on all major platforms – PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.
That said, according to the Steam Hardware Survey, Nvidia’s GTX 1060 is the most popular graphics card by a whopping 7.39 percent. While developer Striking Distance Studios doesn’t specify whether it’s asking for a 3GB or 6GB version, the inclusion of an AMD Radeon RX 580 hints at the latter – as it’s only available in an 8GB variant.
Furthermore, the Callisto Protocol will use Denuvo’s anti-tampering measure, which is known to degrade game performance on PC. WB Games Montréal was one of the few major developers that removed the DRM to combat Gotham Knights’ abysmal performance issues just days after launch. This also had the unfortunate side effect of pirated copies being easily created.

Callisto Protocol Season Pass
The Callisto Protocol Steam page has also been updated to list the Season Pass content, which is included in the Deluxe Edition. Priced at Rs. 2,999, it adds four pieces of content to the base games, including the Outer Way Skin Collection, a story DLC, a Riot Bundle that drops you into a wave-based mode, and a permadeath mode for those looking for a soul-crushing experience. The last two packs also detail 25 new death animations – 13 for protagonist Jacob Lee and 12 for enemies – implying they’re locked behind a paywall.
In response to the conversation, Striking Distance Studios Founder and CEO Glen A. Schofield took to Twitter to confirm that the team is not “withholding anything from the main game for the season pass.” It turns out that animations are brand new content and the developers haven’t even started working on it yet. “Fans have asked for EVEN MORE kills so we are making this a priority next year,” the tweet reads.
To be clear: we’re not hiding anything from the main game for the season pass. We haven’t even started working on this content yet. These are new things that we will be working on in the new year. Fans have asked for EVEN MORE kills, so we’re making that a priority next year.

From the creators of Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol is a third-person space survival horror game that takes you on a deadly journey through an intergalactic space sewer system. Set on Jupiter’s dead moon Callisto in 2320, players take control of the reclusive Jacob and navigate spooky corridors as parasitic aliens begin to close in on you. In addition to guns, players are equipped with a variety of melee and telekinesis weapons, allowing you to pick up enemies from afar and throw them into razor-sharp razors, giant spinning blades, and between heavy doors. Much like Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol relies heavily on dismemberment, allowing you to tear limbs apart, boosting the game’s ESRB rating to Mature 17+.
Callisto Protocol launches on December 2 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
